One of the most common mindset blocks I see across business owners — especially women and service-based founders — is this quiet, destructive question:
“Who am I to charge that much?”
That little voice that makes you doubt your prices, your packages, your confidence, your success.
That voice?
It’s called Imposter Syndrome.
And if it’s been running the show in your business…
You’re not alone.
But you do need to call it out — before it costs you your growth.
What is Imposter Syndrome?
Imposter Syndrome is that creeping feeling that you’re “faking it.”
That your success is accidental.
That people are going to “find you out.”
That you’re not good enough, not smart enough, or not experienced enough to charge what you charge.
Here’s the truth:
If you’re even asking yourself those questions, it means you care. It means you’re growing.
Because the people who aren’t growing?
They don’t question themselves.
They stay comfortable, underpriced, and overworked — and they never leave their comfort zone.
How It Shows Up in Business
Imposter Syndrome doesn’t always look like insecurity.
Sometimes, it’s subtle. Like:
Hesitating to post your prices
Discounting before people ask
Over-explaining in your quotes or emails
Avoiding certain clients because you “don’t feel ready”
Staying in admin mode because sales feel too bold
Holding off launching because “someone else does it better”
Sound familiar?
It’s not just self-doubt.
It’s your nervous system responding to visibility and expansion.
And it’s holding you back.
What Premium Clients Actually Want
Here’s the part most business owners miss:
High-paying clients don’t hire you because you’re perfect.
They hire you because you’re:
Reliable
Confident
Organised
Clear
And consistent
They’re not looking for perfection — they’re looking for trust.
And if you’re constantly second-guessing your worth, it’s harder for people to trust you — even if your service is amazing.
How to Reframe Imposter Syndrome
You’re not a fraud.
You’re just stepping into something bigger than your past self was used to.
That feeling of discomfort? It’s not proof that you’re failing.
It’s evidence that you’re evolving.
So instead of asking “Who am I to charge this much?”
Try asking:
“Who am I not to?”
Who loses if you keep shrinking to make others comfortable?
Who misses out if you don’t show up fully in your power?
Real Talk: You’re Not Alone
I’ve built businesses that serve high-end clients.
I’ve automated systems, built award-winning teams, and helped others scale too.
And I still have moments where I feel that doubt creep in.
But I’ve trained myself to keep moving anyway.
Confidence isn’t a personality trait.
It’s a habit.
And the more you act in alignment with who you want to become — the faster you become her.
